The SPF series: Supergoop anti-oxidant spray SPF 50

Time for the second installment in my SPF series. This time I'm taking a look at a product from US brand Supergoop.

Supergoop are a premium sun care brand and make a range of products using anti-oxidants and scientific ingredients to help protect and promote youthful, healthy looking skin. All of their products are paraben, petrochemical and fragrance free.

They've worked wonders here and created a lightweight, non-greasy SPF 50 spray - the SPF 50 anti-oxidant infused sunscreen mist with vitamin C* (quite a mouthful!). It comes in an aerosol style can and when sprayed a fine mist of sunscreen is disbursed. Once rubbed into skin, it's virtually undetectable, except for a slight sheen.

They promise that this will last up to 80 minutes when in water, and also contains 35% less alcohol than similar style sunscreen sprays.

I love the lightweight feeling of this product and it's definitely something I would repurchase. For me, this is too expensive for a two week beach holiday where you might be washing it off frequently, but for sunny day trips and city breaks this will definitely be accompanying me.

I would love to see more brands creating products like this - finding high SPF solutions that are barely noticeable on skin is quite rare, and I've been really impressed with this one.

A 150ml bottle costs £18.50 and a limited range can currently be found in Space NK.

*This post contains PR samples, my views are honest as always.

  1. I don't really like the idea of a spray SPF, call me old fashioned but I like to know exactly where I'm putting my SPF and that I'm getting an even coverage. Although saying that, I would imagine this would be good for scalps where it's difficult to rub a cream in x

    1. I know what you mean about the coverage - this is pretty good at going on evenly, but you do need to take more care when applying - don't want any random burnt spots! x
