Burberry Kisses lipstick review

I'm going to make a bold statement here and announce that I think I've finally found 'the one'. That perfect lipstick that you know you'll love forever. And it's all down to Burberry's new 'Burberry Kisses' range.

Burberry Kisses* are the latest launch from the brand; a collection of over a dozen shades in a sheer formula that can be layered up to a bolder finish. The lipstick itself is incredibly hydrating but doesn't slip and slide off you lips like some sheerer ones do - these will stay put for hours and only need a top up after eating or drinking.

One swipe will give you a gentle wash of colour but if you fancy something a little more obvious, you can reapply for more depth. You're never going to get something as pigmented as MAC's Russian Red out of these, but then that's not what they were designed to do.

033 Rose Pink is the perfect nude shade for me. It's pink tinged, so a lot more flattering on my pale, but slighlty rosy complexion than any other nude I've tried before. I had to hold myself back from wearing it too much until I'd taken some photos (blogger problems) - I've been using it every day since.

The packaging is in Burberry's standard silver with their iconic checked design on both the outer casing and embossed into the lipstick itself. The case has a clever magnetic closure, so there's no risk of the top popping off in your handbag accidentally, although if you end up buying more than one you might have to keep them separately so they don't stick together!

At £25 each, these aren't cheap, but oh my god they're worth it. I don't normally advocate such a splurge, but it's honestly the nicest lipstick formula I've found.

Burberry Kisses are available at Harrods now and should be rolling out across Burberry counters later on this month.

What do you think of these new lipsticks?
