I've often thought of Vita Liberata as a tanning brand, but their new Capture the Light translucent body illuminators* have got me all excited.
Designed to give you a subtle shimmer, Capture the Light Translucent is a light body lotion that when applied gives skin a subtle illuminating shimmer. It comes in two colours: Rose (designed for the paler among us) and Gold (for those with more of a tan).

The lotion is very light, almost gel like and rubs into skin very quickly. You'll be left behind with just a hint of shine - both shades are definitely more 'illuminate' rather than 'sparkle', which is perfect - no-one wants to look like a Christmas card!
They come in pearlised pump bottles, which makes getting the right amount out really easy - I found one pump was enough to apply along my collarbone and I used a second on the tops of my shoulders for a night out in a strappy dress.
The rose shade is lovely on pale skin, although it's so subtle I couldn't actually get a good photo of it! The gold looks a little more obvious on me, but with a tan I think it would give a really lovely effect to skin.
Each bottle of Capture the Light contains 30ml and costs £29.95. They both contain an SPF25 which is great as an added bonus, but please don't rely on just that to protect you if you're out in the sun all day!
You can find both illuminators on the Vita Liberata website, along with the opaque range, which acts more as a BB cream for your body.
Which one would you choose?

These will look perfect with a party dress in the festive session! I think the fact that they are subtle is better, some lotions are far too glittery and make you look like a Christmas decoration!

definitely - when it comes to body shimmer, subtle is best! x
DeleteI think I need the BB cream. Does it come in giant economy size?

maybe we can put a petition together for a giant size ;)
DeleteNever tried anything from this brand - they look really pretty on the skin :)

they are very pretty - the fake tan is good too! x
DeleteHi Kat, long time no speak. I have been seriously bad at keeping up with my faves but I am making a pact with myself to keep on top of my reading list that I made so very long ago! Great post, I have never heard of this product before but must say you have me intrigued. I thought Vita Liberta only did fake tans. How wrong was I, but I must admit I have never been on their website before, only picked up the tan in Boots. Thanks for sharing will keep my eyes peeled. Love Laura xxx A Scottish Lass ❤
