NARS Craving Dual Intensity Blush Palette Review

A new NARS product is always guaranteed to be a source of excitement in the beauty world and ever since I heard about the upcoming launch of the Dual Intensity Blushers I've been eagerly awaiting their appearance on counter.

The Dual Intensity Blushers are the follow up product from last's year's seriously successful Dual Intensity Eye Shadows, which came in beautiful metallic finishes and could be used wet or dry for different levels of pigmentation. The blushers work along the same line - they can be used dry for a lighter finish or wet for a serious punch of pigment.

There are six shade combinations to choose from, with each coming in a duo palette with a lighter shade (mostly highlighters) and a deeper shade (blushers or bronzers).

After a serious swatchathon on launch day, I decided to buy the Craving palette which is the highlighter and contour/bronzer duo, although I'm tempted to go back for several others!

The highlighter in this combination is absolutely stunning. It's a light cream shade in the pan that translates to a soft pearlescent highlighter which I think would look amazing on pretty much all skin tones. The bronzer looks a little muddy in the compact but when used on the skin it turns into a really lovely bronzing shade for light - medium skins. It does have a touch of shimmer to it so isn't great for contouring but works well to add colour to the skin in a natural way.

I was impressed at the levels of pigmentation from most of the shades in the range when used dry - when I tried the eye shadows some were a little wishy washy dry but there are no such problems with the blushers. To be honest, I think some might be a little OTT if used wet but it will all come down to personal preference.

My only negative with the Dual Intensity Blushers is that they're not available as singles. There are a few shades I'd love to own on their own but as each comes in a duo it's not cost effective to buy them if I would only use one shade out of the two. Although it is quite tempting...

The Dual Intensity Blushers cost £30 each and can currently be found exclusively at Liberty London but will be launching across NARS stockists in the next week or two.

Do you like the look of these new blushers from NARS?
