Feeling rose-y

With Valentine's day almost upon us, sales of roses are no doubt set to rocket. If you're a lover of rose scents but fancy something that will last you a bit longer than flowers, I've put together a selection of my favourite rose-scented products that would make a lovely treat for yourself (or a good place to point your other half if he's starting to get that pre-valentine's panicky look).

rose scented bath, body and makeup products

rose scented bath, body, candles and makeup products

Roger + Gallet Rose collection* - for a rosey scent from top to toe, grab yourself some of Roger + Gallet's iconic rose range. Their hand creams are lovely and rich and keep hands soft for hours and the body spritz is a lovely way to end up smelling of roses without an overpowering scent. They also offer body lotions and bath/shower products, so if you're a rose fan you can stock up on a bit of everything! Prices from £13.50.

By Terry Baume de Rose lip balms - these rose scented lip balms will leave your lips feeling soft and smooth for hours. I bought a set in the Space NK sale that features five different shades and each one leaves a tiny hint of colour on the lips while adding serious amounts of hydration. Pricey, but oh so worth the investment. £35.50

Arran Aromatics Valentine's Day candle* - burn this beauty from Arran Aromatics on the day itself and you'll be left with a room that smells divine. It's a mix of jasmine, orange flower and tuberose that only needs a couple of hours of burning to fragrance the entire room (or downstairs of your house if it's small like mine). The silver lid and heavy glass makes it feel really high end, despite its £20 price tag and as we're spending Valentine's at home with some steak and cake, this will be helping to set the scene for a romantic meal for two.

Aromatherapy Associates Rose Body Velvet* - a seriously rich, velvety body cream, this product from Aromatherapy Associates is a must-have if you suffer from dry skin or just love a subtle rose smell to your products. Despite being rich in texture, it's easily absorbed and won't leave you hanging around for ages waiting to get dressed. It's a limited edition product created to celebrate Aromatherapy Associates 30th birthday and can be found in Space NK or online from Aromatherapy Associates. £50

Flamingo Candles valentine candle* - I think Flamingo Candles are amazing - they're great value for money and give much more expensive brands a run for their money! The Love Bug candle has a special Flamingo design on the front with a cute little heart and releases a lovely mix of mandarin and petitgrain scents over a few hours. The rose pink wax is mixed with lilac glitter as a special combination for Valentine's day, making it a cute addition for a night in. £12

Are you a fan of rose-scented products? What will your plans be for Valentine's day?

  7. I personaly don't like rose scents, except for the real roses, they smell amazing! But that Flamingo candle...let's just say I need it in my life. ;) I'm a huge candle lover, especially if their smell is a mix of some interesting smells, such as this ;)
