OOTD spring into the 70s

It’s been a while since my last outfit post, but the sunny weather got me all inspired. Today I’m wearing a 70s inspired outfit, with a River Island denim dress over a Betty Barclay coral-pink blouse*. As a redhead, it can be tricky to wear pink shades, but I think the denim dress helps to balance it out nicely.

Dress – River Island Chelsea Girl
Blouse – Betty Barclay*
Shoes – Office
Necklace – Primark
Rings – Turquoise – birthday gift, Gold with stones – my Nan’s
Sunglasses – Dior via David Clulow

I’ve added on some tan stacked sandals, a gold statement necklace and two rings, plus some over-size sunglasses to complete the look. I love the 70s era, and hope that this outfit gives a modern take on a 70s look, without mimicking Charlie’s Angels too much!

I think this pinafore dress will be getting a lot more use throughout the summer with different tops underneath it – I bought in the sale at River Island just after Christmas, so it’s nice that it’s finally warm enough to wear it!

What are you looking forward to wearing now that spring is finally here?
