Neal's Yard Remedies Camden Treatment Rooms launch

A couple of weeks ago, I got to go along to the launch of the new treatment rooms at Neal's Yard's Camden store.

The store is situated on Chalk Farm road in Camden and offers all the amazing products you'd expect to find in their stores. I haven't been to many of their shops before - the one I visit most is in St Pancras station in London as it's on my way home. That's only a little shop, so it was great to see one of the larger ones, and to find out about the new treatment rooms.

For those that aren't familiar with the brand, Neal's Yard Remedies have a wide range of natural skincare, makeup and home remedies. What I love about them is that you can pop in for a moisturiser, and also pick up a herbal remedy at the same time.

The shops all have jars of herbs, spices and other goodies that can all be used to make custom teas and tinctures  which is quite unusual, and gives a little hint at an old style apothecary!

A small group of bloggers got to go along to the Camden store to celebrate the launch of 2 new treatment rooms.

We were all given a sample treatment and I had a back and neck massage. I suffer quite badly from tension in this area, and try to have massages quite regularly, but I think this was the best one I've ever had! It was a shiatsu type massage, and really concentrated on all of the nasty knots a day at the Vitality Show had created. The therapist was lovely, and asked a few questions to make sure everything was ok for me, but still kept the experience really relaxing.

Even though it was only a short treatment, I walked out feeling much more relaxed and had to have a few minutes to myself before re-joining the group just to come back to down to earth a little!

As well as different types of massage, they also offer reflexology, naturopathy and facials. Prices range from around £30 for 30 minute treatments up to £75 for 90 minute treatments, but this varies a little by treatment type.

I can definitely see myself booking another treatment with Neal's Yard Remedies.

Have you used anything by Neal's Yard before?

  3. Whilst I love your review and the shop looks lovely I have to say I have a few issues with this brand. I wish they would stop using high quantities of alcohol in products. Overall, of course it is better than most brands at Boots/Superdrug.
