Summer fragrance favourites

With summer well and truly here, I thought it was high time to share a few fragrance favourites that seem to be perfect for the warmer weather. I like to switch up perfumes throughout the year, making the change to something a little fresher and lighter for summer. These five are all currently stars of my summer perfume rotation:

Roger & Gallet Gingembre Rouge* - this new fragrance from Roger & Gallet is fruity, spicy and really easy to wear. It contains notes of mandarin, ginger and lychee, so if you prefer floral fragrances, this probably isn't something for you. This is part of their Eau Fraiche line, which are less concentrated than typical Eau de Toilette or Eau de Parfum, so you'll need to apply a little more and re-apply throughout the day to ensure longevity. It smells good enough to eat though, so I'll let it off! £32 100ml

Salvatorre Ferragamo Singnorina Eleganza* - possibly the cutest little bottle I've seen for a long time, this is what I'd call a 'grown-up' fragrance - it's perfect for sultry evenings sat outside in the sunshine, or for a posh meal out. It's a lovely mix of grapefruit and pear top notes, mixed with a more sultry base of patchouli and white leather. £42 30ml

Jo Malone Lime Basil and Mandarin - the freshest smelling scent of the lot, this is a super citrusy blend that is perfect for daily wear. I love to spray this first thing in the morning and have a good ol' sniff - the lime and mandarin really wake me up! This is a cologne rather than EDP or EDT so doesn't last as long on the skin, however it's a good size for popping in your handbag and topping up throughout the day. £40 30ml

Caudalie Divine* - fragranced with scent inspired by their much loved Divine Oil, this is summer in a bottle as far as I'm concerned. It has a slightly spicy, yet fresh smell to it and every time I wear it I can just imagine myself lying on a beach, sipping a cold cocktail. I'm already halfway through this bottle in just 6 weeks, so this gives you an idea of how much love I have for it! £39 50ml

Ghost Eclipse* - another fruity scent, this new perfume from Ghost is perfect for hot summer days. I've never really liked Ghost perfumes before, but Eclipse is fresh and fruity, with a touch of floral, which makes it a lot easier to wear. The bottle also reminds me of a sunset - I love the subtle ombre effect on the glass. £24.50 30ml
