Kim Kardashian True Reflection perfume

I was recently sent a bottle of Kim Kardashian's 'True Reflection' perfume* to review and have to admit was quite intrigued as I'm not usually one for celebrity fragrances.

I think that the packaging is quite classy - it's a simple bronze box and inside the perfume bottle is slightly vintage looking, with a clear lid and smokey glass the further down the bottle you get.

Fragrances are notoriously hard to describe, so here's what they say it should smell like:

"A tantalising oriental fragrance that opens with a burst of sparkling Italian bergamot, luscious plum and succulent peach, True Reflection guarantees instant attraction. A rich floral heart blends night blooming gardenia, chocolate orchid and lotus flower for a thoroughly addictive mélange, while the earthy finish of textured woods, patchouli and musk rounds off the sultry scent."

To me, it's quite a sweet fragrance. My boyfriend commented that I smelt like coconut when I asked his opinion, which is odd as it's not listed as one of the perfume notes, but I can see his point of view. There's a hint of fruit, but definitely more a sweet floral smell.

It's a lot different from my usual citrusy smells or Marc Jacobs collection, but I actually quite like it. It takes about 10 minutes for the sweetness to subside a bit and then offers quite a soft, evening perfume.

One thing I was really impressed with was the fact that although 30ml retails for £24, it's actually an Eau de Parfum so lasts a lot longer on the skin. A lot of the celeb fragrances I've seen have all be Eau de Toilette which I avoid as it only lasts about 2 hours on.

All in all, I don't love it, but I like it. I'll definitely use it and the bottle looks gorgeous on my dressing table!

Have you tried any celebrity fragrances before?

*This post contains a PR sample - my views are honest as always.
