Liz Earle Limited Edition Orange Flower and Chamomile Cleanse and Polish review

Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser has been a cult product for years and has won over 100 awards since its launch in 1995.

This summer, they've launched a limited edition version of this cult classic, which has been fragranced with a mixture of Chamomile and Orange Blossom* to create a beautifully scented cleanser that's perfect for summer.

Liz Earle cleanse and polish limited edition orange blossom and chamomile

Cleanse and Polish is designed to be used with a muslin cloth - you apply a small amount of the cleanser, massage in using your fingertips and then remove using the muslin cloth which has been soaked in warm water. I love this method of cleansing - it really leaves my skin feeling super clean and yet nourished at the same time. I wasn't a massive fan of the scent of the original Cleanse and Polish, but I really love this limited edition version - it's perfect for use in the mornings as the citrusy smell definitely helps to wake you up, but it's not so strong you wouldn't want to use it at night too.

My advice (and this is just based on my aversion to muslin cloths!) would be to throw away the muslin cloths and use a lovely soft flannel to remove the cleanser instead, but that's just personal preference.

You may find that this version of the cleanser is slightly runnier than the traditional version, but the cleansing properties definitely remain the same. I like to spritz a few sprays of the Liz Earle Skin Tonic onto my skin post-cleansing, which leaves it feeling really refreshed and ready for my serum/moisturiser.

The Limited Edition Cleanse and Polish is available from John Lewis, Boots, Liz Earle stores and Liz Earle online. It retails at £19.75 for a 150ml tube and two muslin cloths, which should easily last you a few months.

Are you a fan of Cleanse and Polish? Do you like the sound of this limited edition version?

  2. The bottle is so pretty and the scent sounds lovely, Cleanse & Polish has never done anything for my skin though so I'd be unwilling to splash out on another one!

  4. Just bought this yesterday (am a long time fan of Liz Earle) but am a bit sad that there's not much smell of orange flower and mostly chamomile, mostly because I'm *obsessed* with orange flower. At least it's still a great cleanser xxx
