The SPF Series - La Roche Posay Anthelios XL Dry Touch Gel Cream SPF 50

Welcome to the start of my new SPF series! SPFs are a key part of my summer regime - even a mildly sunny day in England can give me sunburn, so after many years of using thick, sticky SPFs, I'm going to be sharing a series of posts with my best SPF finds.

First on the list in a new dry touch gel cream* from La Roche Posay. Part of their Anthelios XL range, this SPF 50 is specifically designed for those who need a high protection level on their face, but have combination to oily skin.

The Anthelios XL range is designed for sensitive and sun intolerant skin and contains no parabens, fragrance and is non-comedogenic (pore-blocking).

The product applies smoothly and has a medium consistency. It melts super quickly into skin and once absorbed, leaves virtually no trace that it was there.

I've applied mine before makeup, and have still managed to buff mineral foundation over the top without experiencing any issues.

I've been really impressed with this SPF and will be continuing to wear it throughout the summer.

It retails at £16.50 for 50ml, so is definitely on the pricey side, but finding a non greasy SPF 50 is something of a miracle, so it's definitely going to be a repeat purchase for me.

You can find the Anthelios XL Dry Touch Gel Cream in Boots (so Advantage Card points too!).

Which SPF do you usually use?

*This post contains a PR sample. My views are honest as always.

  2. I got this in my Glossybox and I'm really happy that it doesn't make me look white.

  4. I really love these SPFS - I've tried the melt-in cream and extreme fluid and both absorb really easily and spread well without leaving a white mark. It's one of my staple products at the moment xxx
