You might be familiar with Percy and Reed from some of the recent product freebies on the covers of Glamour magazine. Behind the brand are Adam Reed and Paul Percival, both celebrity hairdressers. They describe their style as 'modern, cutting-edge yet wearable for the everyday – can be enjoyed by anyone'.
The amazing wall in the toilet! |
We were given a tour of the salon, and I loved the mixed up style of vintage pieces they have, alongside some super modern technology. They have a unique 'colour station' which uses a series of lights that adapt to individual skin/eye/lip colour, which can then be updated to show how you might look in different lights. This is used as part of their colour consultations and I think it's an amazing idea.
The toilet is also one of the most fun places (seriously, I wish my bathroom looked like that!).
After the tour, one of the salon stylists, Lacey, gave us a demonstration on some simple festival looks that are easy to create, but yet look really effective. Along with fishtail plaits and other braids, there was an amazing backcombed topknot/bun that was my favourite. It looked like it would be really difficult to do, but in fact seemed so easy! I'm not sure my hair is long enough, but it's definitely something I want to try out.
Percy and Reed also make a whole range of styling products - I think my favourites of them being the dry shampoo (good for creating volume as well as rescuing dirty hair) and the dry conditioner (perfect for helping to smooth out styles).
It was really great to find out more about the brand, and if I ever consider colouring my hair again, I'd love to have a consultation in their colour station.
Have you tried anything from Percy and Reed before?
This sounded like so much fun, I've tried loads of percy and reed shampoo and conditioners but my favourite has to be the shine series it's amazing if you want shiny hair :D
