I loved the look of the recent Nails Inc feather effect polishes, but just couldn't bring myself to part with £11 for one.
I was recently sent an amazing dupe, made by InVogue which retails for under a fiver, so was looking forward to see how it turned out.
My shade 'On the Money'*, is filled with blue and yellow fibres, and applies really easily. I've paired one coat of the feather effect polish over a pastel blue Nail Girls polish and this is how they turned out:
I think this is a really pretty combination and will definitely be trying the feather polish over some more shades as the summer goes on. The Nail Girls polish* is a gorgeous shade, but it took me 3 coats to get it opaque and is still a bit streaky unfortunately. Maybe this would be a bit less obvious in a darker colour, what do you think?
The feather effect polish lasts for ages - if you want long lasting nails, this is the perfect topcoat! I'm 4 days in and have no chips on that nail.
Barry M have also just released some feather effect polishes, so I might have to get one of these and see how they compare.
InVogue polishes retail at £4.49 and can be bought from

Wow that is a gorgeous combination! I don't like textures on my nails, but they're sooo pretty to look at.
