Having been a bit of a Johnny Depp
Leicester Square had been turned into an Alice in Wonderland themed paradise, with looking glasses at every corner and giant clocks, floral flamingos and garden scenes every other step.
The whole experience was absolutely amazing, but a little surreal. We actually got to walk down the 'blue' carpet in front of all the waiting Alice fans and although the celebs are kept very separate from us regular people, there was huge buzz of excitement in the air.
We made our way down the carpet, stopping to take as many photos as we could without getting completely bollocked by the security guards that tried to keep everyone moving along into the cinema. Hashtag blogger problems.
Once seated, we grabbed some Ben & Jerry's, stuffed our faces with the Propercorn that had been placed on everyone's seats and got comfy in our leopard print seats (possibly the best cinema chairs EVER).
After about 45 minutes, the lights dimmed and James Bobin, the director, came on stage to give a short introduction to the film. One by one, the cast came up on stage, giving a quick wave and a hello before moving onto the next.
At one moment, Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska, Tim Burton and Sasha Baron Cohen were all about 15 feet away from my chair - thankfully there were some other people sat on the aisle that prevented me running out to
The film itself was great - definite hints of Disney about it, but still adult enough for us all to enjoy. And I have to say, Sacha Baron Cohen made it for me with his his character 'Time'.
Alice Through the Looking Glass launches into UK cinemas from 27th May. Get yourself a ticket - I reckon you'll love it!
*And excuse the slightly fuzzy photos - we weren't allowed to take proper cameras, so I had to make do with my iPhone!
