There are twenty shades to choose from, starting with a barely there nude pink and going right through to a deep damson shade. I’ve been testing out Red Heels (a slightly orange-toned red) and Poppy Cap (an orangey-coral) and really love the formula. Both start off with a gentle wash of colour, but can be built up in layers to get something more bold if you want it. Guerlain suggest applying up to three layers for the deepest pigmentation, and I love the idea of being able to customise your lipstick throughout the day without needing loads of brushes or serious makeup skills.
They’re not the most long-lasting of formulas thanks to all the hydrating oils Guerlain have packed in, but what they lack in longevity, they make up for in ease of use and general *need* factor. They do have a slight scent to them, but I haven’t found it overpowering – to be honest, I stop noticing it pretty soon after application.
At the moment, these are a House of Fraser exclusive and will be on sale for £21.50 each. There’s also a range of scented nail polishes to match, at £17.50 each.
Do you like the look of this new collection from Guerlain?
