I thought I'd been pretty good with my purchases this month until I pulled them all together and realised it was pretty much a total fail at 'not buying anything except essentials' (although can we agree Chanel is an essential?!).
Rather than do one big haul, which I think always seems a lot more obvious on the bank balance, I've bought a few high end beauty bits in September, spread out across the month.
After seeing the new line up of Christian Louboutin lipsticks, I knew I had to have one to add to my collection, despite the quite frankly, ridiculous price tag. The packaging screams 'luxury' and I made sure to choose a shade that I know I will get lots of wear from (hello hot pink).
Too Faced's Better than Sex mascara often proves hard to track down, so while in Debenhams on my Chanel mission, I saw they had some in stock for once and decided to pick up a back up ready for when mine runs out. It really is a fab mascara - I think it's probably stolen the top spot for me over my trusty YSL False Lash Effect.
I'd been given a Debenhams voucher, so obviously this was going to go on new makeup. Ahem. I don't believe you can ever have too many neutral palettes and after seeing Chanel's new autumn offering, I knew it had to have a home in my collection. Yes I probably have dozens of shadows like it, but it's Chanel. And that's a good enough reason for me.
Last up is an accidental lunch time purchase from Chantecaille. I decided to kill some time on my lunch break one day last week by popping in for a Space NK browse to see what was new. Clearly I can't be trusted in there alone as in less than one minute, I'd discovered this beautiful limited edition wolf embossed blusher and was making my way to the till. A somewhat more expensive lunch than I'd initially planned!
As all of the Christmas launches start to hit the stores I know I will want about a dozen of them, but I'm trying to be good and limit myself to a maximum of three. Well, that's the plan at the moment any how...
Have you tried any of these products? What have you hauled lately?
